Heart and Stroke Foundation BLS Provider HCP CPR courses  include adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR and choking relief techniques, plus heart attack/stroke signs and symptoms and AED use. The fee for the C-CPR course is $45.00 per person.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation BLS Provider  Healthcare Provider (HCP-C) course includes all the content of the C-CPR, plus skills such as bag valve mask use, two rescuer CPR, jaw thrust and other techniques needed by the professional responder. The fee for HCP-C CPR is $59.00 per person.  Our prices include all taxes and materials. The course time frame is 4  – 5 hours including breaks. We train only through well known agencies e.g. Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF.) Latecomers will not be admitted and will need to reschedule.

Courses include practical and written testing. After successful completion of the course, Heart and Stroke Foundation will email the BLS Provider proof of completion directly to the participant so we must have a correct email address for each participant.  The manual/e-book should be purchased through the Heart and Stroke online shop. PLEASE NOTE that due to the COVID-19 situation  all Toronto libraries will be closed until April 5th so our upcoming classes at those locations will be rescheduled to new dates. We will post new dates as soon as they are confirmed and will contact any registrants.

Attention all teens – want to have fun AND make money, too?  Want to be independent and have your own small business?  Then our Babysitting class is for you! This  Babysitting class is for students 11 – 15 years of age who want to learn how to safely babysit infants and young children. The class includes basic safety procedures, supervision and avoidance of injury. The class also includes diapering, feeding and appropriate games for young children.

The fee is $60.00 per student.  The fee includes all taxes, textbook, certificate of completion and other materials.  Please see our list of courses and our Locations page for other details. Students should bring paper, pen, lunch ( NUT-FREE.)  The usual class time frame is 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Please note that many buildings  will not open early, so it will take us a few minutes to get into our classroom. Notices will be posted near the main doors indicating the room number. Latecomers will not be admitted and will need to reschedule – students must be present for the entire scheduled course time and complete all activities in order to receive the Babysitting certificate.

WE ARE NOW RUNNING THE BLENDED STANDARD FIRST  AID COURSE UNDER RED CROSS!!  Once someone submits payment for that class through our website, they will receive  a link to the Red Cross system where they must complete online theory work , then they attend a shortened in-person session to perform skills demonstration. These Standard First Aid  C CPR  courses includes all the content of the Emergency First Aid training, plus head or spinal injuries, bone and joint injuries, sudden illnesses, heat and cold related injuries and poisons. Child and Infant CPR is also included so that participants may receive a C CPR card.

Our fee is $95.00 per person ( student) $105.00 ( non-student) or $115.00 per person for those who also require the BLS Provider for healthcare ( formerly called Healthcare Provider or HCP) CPR training.  Those requiring the HCP/BLS training will stay for additional time to cover those skills. Face masks must be worn, screening questions must be answered upon arrival, social distancing is maintained, equipment is bagged individually for each participant and class sizes are limited at this time.  Participants must provide proof of successful completion of the online portion before they can attend the in-person class. A Standard First Aid course card in Ontario is in effect for three years. At the end of  three years, but before the expiry date, you are allowed to attend a shortened Standard First Aid C CPR Course renewal class through the agency that originally trained you. Three years after that, you must take the full first aid course again. Although the card is in effect for three years, an employer may want CPR renewal even every year, depending on the type of employment. Have you always wanted to take a CPR class, but couldn’t find the time?  Maybe you don’t want to commit to a full day or weekend of training? Then why not try this Heartsaver A CPR Course. This 4 hour course covers adult CPR and choking relief techniques, plus heart attack/stroke signs and symptoms. The Heartsaver A CPR course also includes use of the Automated external Defibrillator (AED.) Latecomers will not be admitted and will need to reschedule.

This course is useful for people who only work with adults e.g.  employees in the area of fitness and recreation, or people who do volunteer work with adult groups.  If you have not taken CPR in the past,  this Heartsaver A – CPR class will provide you with a good foundation for future training.  Or you could upgrade to a course such as the C- CPR including adult, child and infant material, for those who work with different age groups. This  Red Cross Standard First Aid Renewal Toronto course is for people who possess a current  Red Cross Standard First Aid card. The card must have been  received within the past three years and the person must have completed the full, two day program the last time that they took the training. The Red Cross Standard First Aid renewal Toronto course includes all the Standard First Aid content. The class also reviews the C CPR skills, including adult, child and infant CPR with use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED.) Please note that under Ontario Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB)  requirements you must renew under the First Aid agency that originally trained you. Please note that there is no renewal process for Emergency First Aid, so at the end of three years you must take the full day program again.

This Emergency First Aid and CPR course is scheduled for 8 hours. The course includes emergency scene management, shock symptoms, adult CPR and choking relief techniques. The course also includes  AED use, wounds, bandaging practice and sudden illnesses.  Our fee for this class is $65.00 per person ( student) or $70.00 per person ( non-student.) If C CPR is included, the class will include Child and Infant resuscitation techniques and will increase to 9 hours in length for a fee of $75.00 per person.  Our prices are all-inclusive i.e. taxes and materials are already included. An Emergency First Aid and CPR course card in Ontario is in effect for three years. There is no renewal process for the Emergency First Aid and CPR course, so at the end of the three years you must take the one day course again.

The Red Cross BLS HCP CPR  Toronto  recertification course is for those who have already taken their CPR training but are in need of renewal. The C-CPR  renewal course includes adult/ child/ infant CPR and choking relief techniques with AED use. The fee for the C-CPR course is $35.00 per person.  Training for the healthcare professional is called Basic Life Support (BLS – formerly called Healthcare Provider or HCP)  and is done at the C-CPR level. The Red Cross BLS HCP CPR renewal includes all the content of  C-CPR, plus bag valve mask training, two rescuer CPR, jaw thrust and other techniques needed by the professional responder. The fee for the  Red Cross  BLS HCP CPR renewal is $40.00.

Our prices include all taxes and materials. Please bring your previous CPR card/printout with you to the class.  We train only through well known agencies e.g. Canadian Red Cross.
