INFANT CHILD CPR HSF

Infant Child CPR is a course that is designed for new and expectant families, or those who care for infants and young children.  The course covers CPR and choking relief techniques for infants and children from birth to eight years of age. The course is conducted under the Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF.)  We welcome babies at the class – bring your baby AND learn how to save their life!  Why not bring your family, grandparent, babysitter along – remember, anyone who watches your child should be equipped with lifesaving skills. If you bring your child to the class, it is recommended that you bring someone with you to help watch your child while you practice the skills.

Our  fee for the Infant Child CPR class is $40.00 per person which includes all taxes and materials. We provide instruction manuals and lots of handouts, plus tips on how to create your own home first aid kit.  The class is held on certain weekends – please check our course listing for dates and times. This Scarborough General Hospital CPR renewal course  is a  BLS Provider/Healthcare Provider (HCP-C) CPR renewal class conducted under Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and is specifically for Scarborough Hospital employees.  The class includes adult, child and infant CPR and choking relief techniques, along with bag valve mask training, two rescuer CPR, jaw thrust and other healthcare techniques.

Please note that the participant must be present for all scheduled course time and complete all activities in order to receive a card – latecomers will not be admitted and will need to reschedule. Heart and Stroke Foundation cards can no longer be issued at courses, but the participant may receive a letter of completion indicating that they have completed the training. Heart and Stroke Foundation will email the card directly to the participant  indicating that they have completed the BLS Provider training – therefore, we must have a valid email address for each participant. This Red Cross CPR renewal  Toronto  course is for those who have taken CPR training but are in need of renewal. The A-CPR level includes adult CPR and choking relief techniques, plus heart attack/stroke signs and symptoms with AED use.  The fee for the A-CPR  is $22.00 per person.

Our Red Cross BLS CPR renewal Toronto course prices include all taxes and materials. Please bring your previous CPR card/printout with you to the class. Why not become a CPR First Aid Instructor –  would you like to teach First Aid or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation ( CPR?)? This course is open to candidates who are at least 18 years of age and who have completed a Heart and Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support (BLS) course within the three months prior to the Instructor course.   Those who wish to teach First Aid  must also have completed a Heart and Stroke Standard First Aid course. After completion of the course, the candidate must be successfully monitored by a Heart and Stroke Foundation Instructor Trainer within six months in order to receive full status. Our course fee includes all taxes, materials and monitoring, providing that the candidate is monitored at one of our in-house programs.

Registration must be received by our registration deadline at least one week before the course so that course materials may be delivered. Please note that there is pre-course reading and review that must be completed. Each participant will be expected to deliver brief presentations during the course.

Our one day First Aid Instructor course is designed for those who are already current Heart and Stroke CPR BLS instructors. The $375.00 fee includes all taxes and materials.  Our two day CPR BLS Instructor course is for those who are not yet taken the program. The $425.00 fee includes all taxes and materials.

Red Cross C-CPR training  includes adult, child and infant CPR, AED use, signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke, how to call 911 and emergency scene management.  The fee for C-CPR is $45.00 per person.

The  Red Cross BLS HCP C CPR Toronto  ( formerly called Healthcare Provider HCP-C) course includes all the content of the C-CPR class, plus skills such as bag valve mask training, two rescuer CPR, jaw thrust and other skills needed by the professional responder. The fee for Red Cross BLS  HCP C  CPR is $55.00 per person. Our prices include all taxes and materials. The class time frame is 5  – 6 hours depending on length of  breaks. The class includes practical and written testing. Red Cross cards, which are internationally recognized,  are issued as an ecard upon successful completion of the material. The course also includes use of the Automated external Defibrillator (AED.) The C-CPR renewal fee is $35.00 per person. The BLS Provider /Healthcare Provider (HCP-C) level renewal includes all the C-CPR content plus bag valve mask use, two rescuer CPR, jaw thrust and other skills. The BLS/HCP-C CPR renewal fee is $38.00 per person. Latecomers will not be admitted and will need to reschedule.

This 4 – 5  hour  Basic Life Support ( BLS)  CPR class is designed for people in medicine, nursing and other healthcare professions and is conducted under the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Basic Life Support CPR course includes all the C- CPR  course content with adult, child and infant CPR, plus AED use.  This Basic Life Support CPR class also includes  practice in two rescuer CPR, use of the bag valve mask, pulse checking and jaw thrust for spinal injuries. Latecomers will not be admitted and will need to reschedule.

Please note that Heart and Stroke cards can no longer be issued at classes –  a letter of completion indicating course completion may be issued, but Heart and Stroke Foundation will email the card directly to the participant after the class – therefore, we must have an accurate email address for each participant. The Heart and Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card is in effect for one year, but the customer should also refer to their own employer/hospital/college re how often they are required to renew training. Standard First Aid  C CPR Heart and Stroke training is a two day program scheduled for 16 – 18 hours including suitable break times. The course includes C CPR with adult, child and infant, plus AED use. The course includes all Emergency  First Aid content with wound care, burns, head and spinal injuries.  The course also includes bone and joint injuries, heat and cold, sudden illnesses and poisons. After successful completion of the practical and written components, a Standard First Aid C CPR card can be issued that is in effect for three years. The training can be renewed within three years by attending a one day renewal class through the original training agency.  Three years after that point the whole course must be taken again in accordance with WSIB requirements. Latecomers to class will not be admitted and will need to reschedule.

Our prices include all taxes, textbook and materials. We offer a price of $89.00 for the student, $95.00 for those needing the healthcare provider CPR, or $99.00 for the non-student.
