We train ONLY through nationally known groups e.g. the Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and City of Toronto/EMS, so the cards we issue are very widely recognised and accepted

Description: FEES
Heartsaver or "A card" CPR Renewal, 2 hours
Renewal/recertification - reviews the adult CPR and obstruction sequences, signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke, plus any recent changes to the guidelines, specifically designed for professionals who require regular work-related retraining.

Heartsaver Plus or "B card" CPR Renewal, 3 hours
As for Heartsaver "A" renewal, but also includes additional sequences e.g. two-rescuer CPR and infant/child resuscitation.

Heartsaver AED or "C card" CPR Renewal, C card, 4 hours
Reviews adult, child and infant CPR and obstruction sequences, Automated External Defibrillation (AED), plus any recent changes to the guidelines.

"C" Health Care Provider Renewal (HCP-C), 4 hours.
Health Care Provider (HCP): Same as HSAED plus includes two rescuer sequences, modified jaw thrust, bag valve mask and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) training. This course is specifically designed for professionals who require regular work-related retraining

These courses are offered on Saturdays or on weekday evenings.

Fees include all taxes and materials.

All courses are run according to the requirements of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR-2005).

Please note that the registration deadline is always three (3) business days before the course date - many courses fill quickly!


  Please note the following points:

  • Students must be available for the entire scheduled class times
  • All refunds are subject to a $20.00 administrative fee.
  • All returned cheques are subject to a $40.00 fee.
  • If you will be unable to attend a course, please contact us a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the course in order to obtain a refund. After that point no refund will be issued, but the student will be allowed to transfer into another City CPR Centre course within one month of the original course date. After that, the student will be required to re-register and pay the full fee again.
  • Since the course does involve sharing of equipment, it is best to reschedule into another course if you are feelng unwell.
  • The student acknowledges that the course involves physical effort and agrees to inform the instructor of any injury or condition which could be aggravated by their participation in the course and that the City CPR Centre, its employees, directors, officers and agents will not be responsible or liable for any claim, demand, action, present or future damages, or any other losses or liabilites of any description whatsoever which may arise from or in any way be attributed to any illness or injuries which are sustained by me or aggravated while particiating in any course or activity.
